However, I’m apparently pretty sane in contrast. Consider some examples of what other people have done with Excel, from the normal to the strange.
Smart data entry
One Excel programmer made a spreadsheet for the marketing dept. They could copy and paste entries from telephone directory websites into the sheet, and a macro would instantly parse the important data from the entry and create prospect lists. These lists may be imported into the company’s database without mistakes that could have been introduced thru normal info entry.
An Excel coaching course will illustrate many methodologies that can reduce mistakes from data entry. Cells can be restricted to certain ranges or info types, other cells can be locked out so users can’t accidentally change them, and macros can instantly process any new data found.
Task tracking
Excel might seem like overkill for a must-do list, but an advanced Excel coaching course can present a new dimension. Many of us use Excel to create a listing of quantifiable jobs together with a payment date. This allows them track the % of a task that should be complete by a given date so they know how much work needs to remain on track.
What flick should I see?
One self-described “nerdy and obsessive” girl made charts of all flicks that she needed to see, colour coded by the price she was willing to pay for tickets. Her chums could contribute their opinions, and she could make a weighted score to plan their movie nights. There are numerous other examples, including shopping lists generated from a recipe database, a working version of PacMan, solvers for cryptograms and sudoku puzzles, marriage planners, dance choreography, and timing of labour contractions. “This revolutionary, challenging online book is powerful, very powerful reading, about life at this start of the 21st Century - with science, natural science, science and technology and the overall philosophy of science - “scientifici” - having this century seemed to very much overshadow - even disenfranchise - the bible, other Holy Books, religion, faith and spirituality. It is then about society, religion and spirituality, and so comes under the ‘religion & spirituality’ shopping category.
Kids talk about God existing or not, and what ‘They’ are like, while atheists demand scientific proof of God’s existence. In this hell raiser of a year of 2009 of an ever looming Second Great Depression, if it is not already here; the eyes of truth say that the Book of Revelation is quite right. As discussed in my own book, 7th Heaven will only come, once God (or is it US?) finally decides it is time to actually abolish ‘the root of all evil’ - money itself, and we all turn to live in a new heavenly society where everything is free - within reason. Indeed heavenly - 7th Heaven!
This radical new ‘the eyes of truth’ approach will definitely appeal to atheists and atheism as it is a spiritual, christian based employment of christianity and its history, and my own extensive but rather ‘alternative’ bible studys and studies.
These will be of particular appeal to USA Christians - the USA Body of Christ - Jesus - that is more deeply far-thinking about science and technology in relation to religion and faith - perhaps than people elsewhere. It used to be that books were the lingua franca but we are at the end of a first decade where they have fallen foul of computers and this Internet bug!
Evolutionary theory can easily be disproved. Nothing caused the incredibly complex constituents of cells to evolve to be that way - they must have been created spontaneously - this ‘principle of irreducible complexity’ is normally cited along with ‘intelligent design’ and the ‘anthropic principle’ as 3 main ways to prove God exists.
My own book goes further. My own book goes the whole hog of metaphysics, and ’system analyses’ the Mind and Holy Spirit of God in a ’scientifici’ way that will appeal even to ’scientifici’.
It argues that the Book of Revelation up to chapter 11 as well as the books of Daniel and 2 Esdras (the so-called Apocalyptic books of the Bible) are all precisely about modern science of the last two centuries. We find ourselves in a ‘Heaven666′ world as in those books, which my own book explores in great depth.
A ‘Heaven overshadowed by 666′ or ‘Heaven 666′ world. Where since 11th September 2001, Heaven seems remote compared to Big Brother of George Orwell’s ‘1984′ - dwarfed by a ‘666′ extent of control that has crept up on everybody with nobody excluded, in the name of ‘Security’ and ‘the War on Terrorism’ - backed by massive ‘Technology’.
My own book ends with tackling the serious modern plagues of domination by money or rather now the total lack of enough, over complex lives with too many choices to stay sane, and so mental illness. It offers tangible solutions to all of these. So overall its aim is to be a ‘the eyes of truth’ - at all costs - book.”
